Keynote speakers announced for 2012 Conference for General Practice

June 13, 2012

RNZCGP and GPNZ are excited to have secured the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s (IHI’s) founder Don Berwick and its current President and CEO Maureen Bisognano as keynote presenters at the September conference in Auckland.

Don Berwick is the former President and CEO of IHI. Recognised as a world leading authority on health care quality and improvement, Dr Berwick has received numerous awards for his contributions. Maureen Bisognano is also a prominent authority on improving health care systems.

Both these speakers will be in Auckland presenting at the IHI Asia Pacific Forum, which directly precedes and complements the 2012 Conference for General Practice. The consecutive learning events will give delegates a fantastic opportunity to consolidate their knowledge and link up with the latest thinking in our sector nationally and internationally.

We acknowledge Ko Awatea for making it possible for these speakers to take part in our meeting.
